Pierre Hardy
Group Finance Director
I joined Queensway in June 2016 as Group Finance Director to assist the growth of the group at a strategic crossroad in its development.
I have over 15 years of experience in senior operational and finance roles in the leisure sector. I have built up considerable experience in operational and corporate finance, fund-structuring, debt raising, investor reporting and property investment and development.
My previous role was within Land Securities plc where as Finance Director for Leisure, I oversaw the transition of X-Leisure into Land Securities including extending the fund, repayment of the funds’ debt and restructuring its corporate arrangements.
Prior to this, I was one of the original founding senior managers of X-Leisure which was the UK’s largest leisure fund. Over my 12 years at the helm of the finances of the fund the vehicle went through two cycles and I raised £50m of equity, restructured a £370m syndicated loan and worked with the rest of the team to produce outperformance for the fund. X-Leisure started as part of Capital & Regional plc for some 8 years before I helped it transition to an independent fund for 4 years. I was also an Executive Board Director of Snozone, the UK’s largest operator of indoor real snow ski slopes.
I also worked at the Millennium Dome in Greenwich where I ran a large part of the operations during its short life including the de-commissioning after it closed in 2001.
There are many elements to my role at Queensway. I will help a very talented team navigate through the challenges of growth but also support the executive team in making key strategic decisions and implementing these.
