
In 2005, Queensway Europe was proud to become the sole franchisee for KFC and introduce the world-famous brand to both Austria and Slovakia for the first time.
Over the years, we have built a strong local management team, delivered operational excellence in our restaurants, and consistently grown brand awareness. We have developed a compelling market proposition and now operate more than 30 restaurants across both markets. With a solid foundation in place, we are ready to scale and have set an ambitious goal of operating over 90 restaurants by 2029.

Our growth strategy is driven not only by expansion, but also by the broad appeal and strong positioning of the KFC brand across our markets. We are establishing KFC as a modern, everyday brand that resonates deeply with younger generations, particularly Gen Z, through an innovative menu and bold, culturally relevant communication.
We have a robust pipeline of new restaurant openings, including our first highway service location in Loosdorf, alongside prime city locations that offer high foot traffic and accessibility. The majority of these new sites are designed as drive-thru formats, catering to evolving customer preferences. Our proven ability to quickly secure prime locations positions us to exceed 90 restaurants within the next five years, with a clear ambition to reach that milestone by 2029.
